Hippocrates - Father of medicine.The most important first step when embarking on any wellness program is to aid the system in the process of detoxification in as many ways possible. The CrystalYouth range of nutritional products Recipe for life has been created to help with the detoxification process and when coupled with the Universal Detoxification Diet, dramatic affects will take place and you will be well on the road to good health.
In this program, the most common allergic foods will be eliminated as well as irritants and unhealthy and processed foods. The emphasis is on simplicity. The diet is as compatible with all the blood groups as is possible and practical and we would ask that you print out and refer to the food group listings for your particular blood type as a reference.....your blood type food listing can be found under "nutrition" on this website. And....please remember that the more conscientious you are in compliance with the diet and proper supplementation, the more efficient and fast the detox phase of your program will be.
Before continuing it is important to educate you on some very important considerations....these are rules that you must always be aware of and when followed on a permanent basis will enhance your well-being beyond belief:
• Use honey or fructose sparingly in place of sugar.
• Replace normal table salt with sea salt.
• Totally eliminate all pork products from your diet
• Eliminate if possible all red meat from your diet...if you are a blood type O, you may consume red meat in moderation. If this is too much of a challenge for you, then lamb once every 7 to 10 days may be acceptable for you.
• Eliminate cows milk and cheeses from your diet...cows milk was meant for baby cows!!!! Both soya milk and rice milk are acceptable alternatives to cows milk. Mozzarella and feta are acceptable substitutes in the cheese family.
• Avoid oranges and orange juice.
• Totally avoid all wheat (gluten) products...this would include common white and brown breads as well as all cereals containing wheat/gluten. Most pasta must also be avoided. Check the ingredients listed on pastas to make sure they are not made from wheat or contain gluten.
• Avoid coca-cola as well as all other carbonated soft drinks. Products such as Just Juice are highly recommended. A juice extractor will enable you to make your own fresh fruit and vegetable juices and is highly recommended.
• Avoid all processed and smoked meats, fast food, deep fried foods and highly spiced foods. Curries however are acceptable.
• Consume a minimum of 2 liters of quality water every day. Before retiring each evening, drink a glass of water with 2 teaspoons of Fibre Aktiv psyllium husk powder.
• Eliminate margarine from your diet. Butter may be used sparingly.
• Use only canola oil, walnut oil or grape seed oil for cooking, as these oils will not mutate when heated. Use extra-virgin olive oil, which is cold-pressed as your cold oil. Olive oil with fresh squeezed lemon and a touch of sea salt makes a delicious and nutritious dressing for salads and vegetables.
• Fast as much as possible once every 7 days and instead of taking your nutritional supplements take 7 to 10 tablets of activated charcoal. This will help your system to expel any accumulating toxic waste in your lower digestive system.Getting Started

The first phase of this diet will last for 6 days and we will now proceed from arising in the morning to going to sleep at night.
Immediately upon arising, drink a large glass of good quality drinking water with the juice of 1/2 lemon. You will always start your day positively by doing this.
Next step: Supplements
Pour approximately 150 ml. of Kombucha in a large glass and add to taste your favorite fruit juice...
Remember that orange juice is not acceptable.
Take 1 level teaspoon each of Buffered Bio C and Amino-Pure Lysine with your Kombucha.
Take l tablespoon of your hempseed oil next and then you may finish drinking your Kombucha.
Mix 1 teaspoon of Coral Calcium in either a full glass of water or better, mix 1 teaspoon of Coral Calcium in a larger container of water...up to 2 liters. This will be the water you will drink during the course of the day.
You will take your Fibre Aktiv in the evening before retiring.
If Immuno Life is indicated for you personally, you will take 1 capsule now and the second capsule in the late afternoon.
If Essential Mag-B6 is part of your program, you will take half a teaspoon along with your other supplements.These dosage recommendations are for the detoxification phase of your program and will be lowered thereafter to a maintenance dosage. Breakfast
Fresh fruits and juices are featured heavily for breakfast each day; if you are either hypoglycemic or diabetic we advise that you do not consume the overly sweet fruits, which may affect your condition.
You may consume 2-3 servings of any of the following fruit. Make sure the fruit is fresh and that you have washed it properly.....
1/2 grapefruit pineapple prune juice
grapes (seeded is best) any berries pears
prunes peaches
apples unsweetened cranberry juiceYou may pick one of the following also:
1 poached egg on dry rye bread or toast (wheat free)
Jungle oats Buckwheat cereal Puffed rice
Millet cereal Raw almonds Sorghum meal
Wheat free MuesliTwenty minutes after eating breakfast you may have a cup of the herbal tea of your choice or green tea with an added teaspoon of blackstrap molasses and a squeeze of lemon. Remember that you should not drink liquids either 20 minutes prior to eating or sooner than 20 minutes after eating.
If you have a thirst or hunger after breakfast and prior to lunch you may eat an apple or carrot or stalk of celery. You may also drink a cup of vegetable broth or a glass of juice.
Lunch
Your lunch will consist primarily of fresh salad and raw/steamed vegetables. A fresh beetroot salad with chopped onion; a touch of sea salt and dressed with fresh squeezed lemon and cold press extra virgin olive oil is an ideal choice for your salad several days per week.
A more traditional salad consisting of 4-5 of the following should be consumed on the remaining days:Green leafy lettuce fresh spinach diced onion
fresh garlic parsley beet leaves
carrot celery radishes
cucumberNext: You may choose any one of the following:
steamed carrots whole vegetable soup cooked peas
steamed brown rice baked squash string beans
steamed asparagus steamed barley steamed broccoli
cooked green beans rye crispAfter 20 minutes of eating, you may have a cup of herbal tea or vegetable broth.
Dinner
Dinner will always contain a simple raw salad, a cooked vegetable or 2 if desired and protein. Your salad will be similar to your lunch salad and you may add your source of protein to the salad if desired. Tuna, sardines or white meat of either turkey or free-range chicken (skinless) would be excellent choices.
For your cooked vegetable(s) you may choose from the vegetables listed in the lunch section.The following are your dinner entree selections:
Turkey mince - mixed with tofu, diced onion and fresh crushed garlic. Bake in oven.
Ostrich mince - prepared the same as the turkey mince.
Baked turkey breast - season with fresh herbs
Ostrich - pot cooked on stovetop with onions and rice
Poached coldwater salmon or tuna or mackerel or sardines.After 20 minutes you may drink a cup of either vegetable soup or vegetable broth.
During the evening you may enjoy a nice glass of your favorite white wine (or 2) or, if you prefer, a Kombucha cocktail with your favorite fruit juice.
At bedtime you may now take your Fibre Aktiv. 2 teaspoons of this psyllium husk fibre should be briskly stirred into a glass of water and immediately consumed. If you wait too long it will thicken up too much for you to drink. Fibre Aktiv is nature's most perfect fiber and bulking compound. It will start cleansing your colon of toxins while you sleep and ultimately help to allow your digestive system to work at its optimum levels.
On day seven of your diet, it is advisable that you abstain from eating any solid foods. You should also take a break from your normal supplementation and substitute 7-10 tablets of activated charcoal in their place. You may drink diluted unsweetened cranberry juice, any herbal or green tea with molasses and lemon, vegetable broth and of course lemon water.Many people choose to continue on with the Crystal Youth Universal Detoxification diet after the first week or two.
